The Reed Neighborhood Association’s Annual Meeting and Elections are an opportunity for all residents, business owners and property owners in Reed to elect members to the board and hear what the current board has been working on.
Reed College Meeting with the neighborhood
Dear Reed Neighbors,
We would like to invite you to a neighborhood meeting at Reed College on Thursday, January 29th at 7 p.m. in Vollum Lounge. The lounge is located on the main floor of the Vollum College Center on Eliot Circle. This map can help you find the building.
Staff from Conference and Events Planning and Building Services will discuss topics such as Future campus decarbonization strategy, upcoming community events, and future projects that may impact our neighbors.
Light refreshments will be provided, and parking is free and open to you. Parking in Reed’s East Lot will be the closest location for the meeting.

Coffee with Councilor Zimmerman
Our District 4 City Councilor Eric Zimmerman will be at Heretic Coffee to talk with constituents about what he is working on this year. Councilor Zimmerman serves on three committees: Finance, Housing and Homelessness and Community and Public Safety. Come to ask questions and bring up issues important to you.
Heretic Coffee is a non-profit coffee shop, our only coffee shop in Reed, and your coffee purchase goes towards helping Portlanders who are experiencing food scarcity.
Holiday Party
It’s time for our annual holiday party at Gigantic Brewing in their Barrel Room! Come join us to mingle with neighbors over drinks and snacks. The first ten people to arrive receive a drink on us!
We are once again having a raffle of prizes from local businesses with new ones in the mix this year. Check our Instagram account to see a prize posted each day. Some of the prizes are from Trader Joe’s, Grand Central Bakery, Salsas Locas, Hip Chicks Do Wine, Berry Good Produce and more!
The event is free to all who live in or won a business in Reed. For those who want to enter for a chance to win a prize, raffle tickets will be available at the event- cash or Venmo. Tickets are $2 each or $5 for three.
This is a 21 and over event. Non-alcoholic drinks are also available for purchase at Gigantic.
Fall Festival
Come join us at this family friendly event to celebrate Fall and spend time with neighbors.
This is a great opportunity for families in the neighborhood to connect and play together. Bouncy house fun, pumpkin painting, face painting, baby goats to pet, neighbor baking competition, and a Reed artist market! We’ll see you there!

Summer Free For All African Music Concert (musicians announced soon) at Kenilworth Park co-hosted with Creston-Kenilworth NA 6:30-8:30pm

Community Warehouse provides donated furniture and household items to neighbors seeking the comfort and dignity of a furnished home while overcoming adversity.

The ReBuilding Center builds community resilience and empowers DIYers by ensuring access to affordable used building materials and repair skills so people can be self-sufficient and reduce waste.

Councilor Clark Constituent Happy Hour
Come over to Gigantic to meet with City Councilor Olivia Clark to share your concerns, ideas, and ask questions. Councilor Clark wants to hear from you and has made it a priority to travel around District 4 to hear from constituents in their neighborhoods. So join us in enjoying a drink with neighbors and meeting Councilor Clark.

Reed College Earth Day
Join Reed College’s Sustainability Office and Conference and Events Planning for an afternoon of celebration for our planet.
Board Game Night!
We’re bringing neighbors together to play board games and have fun! There will be a wide assortment of games for all ages to choose from and you are welcome to bring your favorite game to share.
We will have snacks and beverages to enjoy while you play. If you want to enjoy a meal while attending we will have a list of local restaurants to order from that will deliver.
We look forward to playing with you all!
*Please note we will be in the back, lower level of the church. Please park in the back and enter through the ground floor of the two story section of the building—it’s all glass.
